Hello all, my name is Nicholas, and I am 38 years old. I currently reside on the Central Coast of California (between San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara). I have worked for 8 years in the tech industry as a communications technician for an Internet Service Provider. Through this role, I have gained valuable insight into the IT world as I install, troubleshoot, and fix various issues from signal levels and quality to internet speeds and reliability to VoIP phone systems. I am also in school pursuing a Computer Science degree with an emphasis on Software Development. I have been interested in computer hardware and software for over 20 years. I learned through trial and error that there are many tiers of computers with different configurations aimed at completing various tasks. In attempts to record digital audio, I learned the importance of CPU speed, memory capacity, and hard drive speed and how they affected the workflow. Being self-sufficient and eager to learn, I began to learn the operations of different computer hardware and software components and what to look for to have a satisfactory experience and accomplish my desired goal of recording and mixing audio tracks. That experience led to me gaining a love for all things technology and I even built a few computers since acquiring the knowledge to do so. I am always excited about the next cutting-edge technology and would love to be a beta tester if the opportunity presents itself.
